Cathey Armillas (http://catheyarmillas.com) is a speaking and marketing expert from Portland, OR.

John Chen (http://geoteaming.com) is a team building expert from Seattle, WA.

John and Cathey have been friends since 2009 and have collaborated on multiple projects including speaking engagements, conferences and consulting.  They started working on lip-sync videos for their love of music.

They chose “I Lived” because the two share a special friendship that has helped each other’s lives.  They both strongly believe that we need to live life to the fullest every day.

Cathey chose to highlight Portland OR’s bridges as she has a goal to walk as many bridges as possible.  She has an open invitation for anyone to contact her and walk a Portland bridge with her.

They hope you enjoy this version of “I Lived” and that it inspires you to live life to the fullest every day.

Video Highlights

• This epic shoot took ~3 days to shoot and another 3+ to edit.
• In the first shoot on the dock, the JBL Flip 2 speaker fell out of Cathey’s back pocket.  Cathey dove on her knees as the Flip rolled off the dock, she caught it just as the speaker went under water.  Despite advertising as water resistant, the speaker battery will no longer hold a charge.
• This video was shot with an iPhone 7 Plus with a Lanparte gimbal, GoPro 3 & 4’s and a DJI Phantom 4 drone.
• John flew 5 Phantom 4 batteries in a single day during the shoot for over 100 minutes of aerial footage.
• Drone features include Point of Interest for circling shots and Line Of Sight on the bridge shots so the drone could move and turn in a straight line.
• Cathey finally picked up on Director John’s hints to over-play the lyrics so they look good on lip sync.
• Cathey forgot to bring a towel and a change of clothes, so she had to drive home soaking wet after the jump shot.
• The dragon boat that passed by cheered Cathey on to jump off the dock.
• Yes, the Willamette River is COLD!
